Steven Yazzie
Steven Yazzie was born in Newport Beach, California in 1970. He is a member of the Navajo Nation and a veteran of the Gulf War serving honorably with the United States Marine Corps from 1988-92. Yazzie received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Arizona State University and was named the 2014 outstanding graduate for the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts. He is the co-founder of Digital Preserve LLC, a video production company collaborating with artists, filmmakers, and multidisciplinary creatives. Yazzie’s work has been exhibited in major institutions, including the Museum of Modern Art, National Museum of the American Indian, National Gallery of Canada, and the Wheelwright Museum. He currently lives and works in Denver, Colorado.
